Gilestone Caravan Park is a family-run holiday park where you can find all the normal facilities that you would expect to find on a camping and caravan park.
The caravan park and the tenting area are on two separate but interlinked sites, both with panoramic views of the Usk Valley and the mountains beyond. All the pitches are level, with easy access, a water point for every two pitches for the caravans (a couple less for the tents), and hook-ups available for all types of units.

The local village of Talybont-On-Usk is 5-10 minute walk on our private lane with access to the picturesque Brecon and Monmouthshire canal. The village boasts three wonderful pubs; the White Hart Inn, the Star Inn and the Travellers Rest.
As well as having these three fantastic pubs, Talybont has a village shop,a post office and there are some fabulous local walks, including: on the canal, the Henry Vaughan Walk and walks up to Talybont Reservoir and the nearby waterfalls.
We can cater for any sized party, from a two man tent wanting to experience the peace and tranquility, to larger groups, who can, if they require hire a marquee, or we can arrange tepee hire- for that extra special holiday!
Duke of Edinbourgh students are more than welcome too- if your stage involves anything, from walking to horse riding, we can find a place for you all!
Our brand new, £200,000 shower and toilet block was completed in May 2008, bringing our facilities up to date, and most definately on a par with our competitors!

Here is a list of just some of the additional advantages of Gilestone:
- Pet Friendly - from budgies to dogs, horses to fish, every animal is welcome- as long it is well behaved and kept under responsible control.
- Child Friendly- we have a 4 acre play field for children, complete with football pitch, and play house for the children. The field is ajoining the caravan park, so parents can keep a watchful eye on their children easily.
- On-site Shop-supplying everything from emergency candles, to sweets, gas to coffee-and pretty much everything in between!
- On-site Bike Hire- booking is advised. Day or half day hire is available, on bikes both childrens and adults sizes.
- Fully Licensed Entertainment Provider-every Friday and Saturday night in our marquee (where our fully licensed bar and cafe is situated, temporarily). Brains Beer is £2 a pint, and locally sourced, home made food (where possible) is extremely well priced (eg gammon, egg and chips is £5.00)
- Themed Weekends-come along and enjoy the fun!!
We feel that it is important to stress, that, although we welcome groups of any size, a ZERO TOLERANCE policy, for anyone disrupting, or causing offence through unruly behaviour etc, is taken, and the management reserve the right to remove any person they deem necessary, for whatever reason, off site. It is, after all, a family orientated site.
